“Alright everyone, We’re goin’ down in five! I don’t wanna hear any whining if you git shot, ‘cause I don’t give a crap! You were trained for these missions; you are the military of the earth defense! You’ve dealt with these foreign planetary terrorists, and now you’re dealing with them again! I’ve have been appointed to lead you wannabe’s through this fog o’crap and kick this guy’s fat arse and git the dang info we need from ‘im! So you’re gonna do it! Am I right elites!?!”
 “Sir! Yes Sir!”
“Uhuh! Dang right I am!” Sergeant Bassman muttered. After the briefing Bassman approached one of the soldiers standing in a dark corner of the troop carrier space flyer.  This soldier wore a jet black military jumpsuit and was clad in silver armor made from a material immune to the average bullet and ensuring 80% safety from plasma rounds.

Bassman looked into the soldier’s emotionless green visor, “Haven’t seen you ‘round here, you new?”
The soldier slowly looked up and replied in a hoarse mechanical voice “In these parts of the Defense, I’m new.”
“You got a name? Or are you just another one of them useless assassin protocol units?”
The armored colossus slightly tilted his head, “You got a lot of nerve for a military sergeant. The name’s Klanferos Dolgere, I’m a Spec-Ops Commander and Classified Super-Soldier, I will be assisting you in coordinating this operation.”

Bassman smiled in relief, glad to finally have someone he considered worth fighting aboard the carrier. “Glad to have ya aboard, I just hope you‘re man enough to take down the baddest of the bad! Or perhaps you’ll just get shot in the head when yur first deployed like these other pretenders on this carrier!”
Dolgere slightly shook his head indicating his disagreement “Heh! Don’t count on it!"

“Well, it’s your arse yer protecting not mine! Now if you don’t mind I gotta git’ these girls movin’!” Bassman moved to the center area of the unit carrier, turned to the marines and commanded “Alright you dang bird dropping pieces of Mother Nature’s crap, git’ to yer dang stations! We’re gonna land in 5, 4,3,2,1! Gets your mule draggin’ arses movin’!”
“Sir Yes Sir!!!”

After A.O.G. landed, a platform opened and extended to the ground, and unleashed the entire marine task force on the suspect Zarnik facility planet Quatopoi. Captain Blake Recknem, Commander in Chief of Task force A.O.G. called Sergeant Bassman over his radio sphere speaker, “Sergeant, lead our boys in to the structure built within the waterfalls. According to my calculations I believe that is where we’ll find our suspect, I’ll stay here with the crew aboard the ship. Good luck boys, Recknem out!”
Bassman looked down to his speaker. “Copy that Captain, Bassman out!”

“Okay Marines, lets move out!!!” commanded Bassman. Klanferos ran off along with the rest of the platoon toward the falls.   Suddenly Klanferos stopped and paused for a moment.
“What is it, Dolgere? What do you see?”
Klanferos turned to the Sergeant and replied “It’s quite a pity that the rest of you marines do not have advanced binocular antennae.”
“Why what is it?”
Dolgere elaborated “There’s an entire regiment of Zarnik Wraith Troopers and they’ve got an Elite Wraith Commander leading them. They must have somehow found out we were coming, because they have set up a blockade guarding all passage to the structure with in the falls.” Sergeant Bassman looked to Klanferos, “Are you sure?”
Klanferos handed Bassman a pair of electro-binoculars, “See for your self, Sergeant.”
Bassman looked into the binoculars and saw upon the plateau a Wraith Commander clad in violet tinted armor coordinating his troops into position, the entire regiment was guarded by two massive sonic plasma fueled war- turrets. Some of the Wraith Troopers bore light black tinted armor, the rest clad in sage tinted armor.

Realizing the horrible truth elaborated by Klanferos, Bassman raised his sphere speaker to his chin and radioed Captain Recknem, “Recknem, you hearing this?”
“Sure do, though the situation isn’t as critical as it seems. Our tech guys have hacked the Wraith Troopers radio frequency and found out that they did not come from the structure within the falls. They landed here a half-hour before we did, it was probably thanks to our ship’s stealth unit we were not noticed. From what I can see, they seem to be trying to retrieve something from our suspect, but they are facing the same problem we are: they can’t get in. Right now, they are now attempting to move in to the structure by flight, by using their aerial jetpacks. Let’s see if they have any luck.”
“Copy that, standing by,” Bassman replied. They watched the two air troopers fly down towards an opening behind the falling water. One of the air wraith troopers attempted to fly through the falls in to the opening, but his attempt was not successful due the certain heaviness of this planet’s tropical mineral filled water, which weighed the trooper down causing him to be forced down the falls to his death.

Horrified by his comrade’s doom, the remaining aerial wraith trooper flew back to the top of the falls to report to his commander, who watched the misfortune from a long thick cliff that extended over the falls. Meanwhile Captain Recknem emphasized the current situation, “So much for that idea, from what I could see the falls seemed to weigh that flying trooper down. Looks like we’re out of options.”
“If that’s the only way into the structure,” Klanferos interrupted, “then how does the suspect emerge and submerge in and out of the structure?”
“Are you suggesting something Klanferos?”
“What I am ‘suggesting’ Captain, that its possible there is another entrance somewhere around here, and I am also suggesting that we conduct a search around the entire perimeter of this waterfall’s mountain for this possible entrance. But before you take off, Captain, I need you to drop off an entire supply of jetpacks for my regiment.”
Then Recknem radioed back “You make a good commander, Dolgere, we’ll go along with your plan and the jetpacks are on the way.”
“But Captain,” interrupted Bassman, “how will you conduct a search when your ship is visible?”  “Not to worry sergeant, with our new stealth unit I will engage the ship in camouflage mode, there by making the ship invisible, that way we can seek out this hidden entrance without our adversary’s notice,” replied Recknem.
“Copy that, Captain, Bassman out!”

Mean while at the top of the falls, a Wraith warrior in violet tinted armor was yelling into his radio, “What was the situation down there lieutenant? Why did you not go in the cavern?”
The orange clad aerial trooper, Lieutenant Elko replied, “General, passage through the falls is impenetrable, do we have any other options? Sir?”
General Delvix snickered, “Heh! Hahahahahaha!  Yes, we will force our way in to the structure!”
“But sir,” Elko interrupted, “that could be a dangerous risk. Losing Captain Xiacious to the mass of the falls was bad enough.”
Delvix replied calmly, “Yes. Yes, it would be a risk, heh! But I am willing to use any means possible to retrieve our stolen artifact and plans from that accursed hermit, Obaleve.”
“And how do you plan to pursue this plot, sir?”
The evil general opened his silver armored cape and turned to Elko “We shall obliterate the mountain and open the falls to find our plans amongst the rubble. Summon the demolitionists, Elko. We have work to do! Heh, heh, heh!"

Back out on the fields, behind the mountain wall dividing the field and the falls, Klanferos, Bassman and the rest the platoon were clad with their sun-fire fueled jetpacks.
“Alright Marines, lets get the crap out of here and find that dang cave entrance,” shouted Bassman.
“Sir, yes, sir!” replied the faithful, if nervous, soldiers.
Bassman looked to Klanferos, “If we’re gonna find that dang cave, we’ll have to search in two separate groups. We got sixty eight piece of crap marines on our hands lets split them in up evenly and I’ll take half and you the other.” Pointing out two marines, Bassman continued, “Okay Klanferos, there’s your half. I’ll take the rest!”
Klanferos stiffened, “but Sergeant, two is not half of sixty eight. Thirty four is and-”
“Blah, Blah, Whine, whine, I don’t give a crap shut up and do as you’re told Lancelot!”
Klanferos raised his rifle and aimed toward Bassman but was stopped by one of the marines appointed to him.
“Let it go, the Sergeant pulls tricks like this all the time.”
Klanferos lowered his rifle, “You’re lucky you’re quick with reflexes or your precious Sergeant would have had a bullet put in his head!”
Bassman signaled his troop and the two troops split up ignited their jetpacks and began their search.

While Bassman and the rest of the platoon flew deeper into the moors, Klanferos, accompanied by his two marines, made his way to the side of the mountain’s peak. One of the marines was a nervous rookie named Cadet Alan Littoke, the other marine, the one who stopped Klanferos from nearly killing Bassman, was a young woman with strawberry blonde hair and bright violet eyes. Her name was Emira Leonietta, she was very intelligent, had a strong ambition, and was very agile. The two marines had introduced themselves to each other and to Dolgere during their flight to the mountain’s peak.  When the three marines reached the side of the peak they stopped along a cliff side to refill their fuel tanks with extra sun-fire fuel canisters. While they were stopped, Klanferos noticed Emira fixing her hair and said, “Hey, didn’t the marines back in training ever tell you you’re not supposed to be worrying about your hair while on the job, how did you get by without getting your hair shaved like the other female-marines?”
When Emira finished putting her hair in a pony tail she turned sharply to the armored body and replied, “Look here buddy, why in the world would I be wearing long hair if I was a stupid low class marine? Huh? When you are high in command, and trust me I love being high in command, you get by with some of those ‘stick it to the man’ rules. I’m a lieutenant, Klanferos, you should treat me with respect!”
“That’s Commander Dolgere to you, and I know you’re high class. All I’m saying is we must keep our minds on the job, you never know what’s coming.”
“Exactly Dolgere, I am keeping my mind on the job, is fixing your hair not a job too,” snapped Emira.
Klanferos finally realized he was getting no where with her ‘tough chick’ attitude, and gave a sigh as he looked about the area.

“Stay here, I’m going to have a look around, setup camp here we will continue tomorrow! Wait here for my return!”
Emira sat up, “don’t take too long we get bored easily!”
Klanferos refrained from saying anything and left the campsite into the dark of the night. Later that night a loud screech of hate and terror in the form of roars drowned the sound of nature into its sonic void.  Awoken from a deep slumber by this terror with a shout of fright, Emira looked to the sky and saw the full moon suddenly eclipsed by a massive shadow that flew from the east.  She studied the shadow more carefully and found that this was no cloud - it was alive, a monster of the dark. Its piercing gaze froze Emira in fright, as the beast spread its translucent wings and opened its gaping jaw which glowed blue. The monster changed its course and made a radical twist downward to swoop its prey.

The horrible creature began to descend; Emira snapped out of her terrified daze and woke Alan.
“Eek! A nightmare come to life,” cried Alan.
“Oh shut up! Where’s Klanferos,” asked Emira impatiently.
“Uh, haven’t seen him for hours,” replied the nervous marine.
“Well, then we only have one option; hide!”
The two searched for a place to hide, while the creature, aware of their presence, drew closer to the mountain side. Time was against the two marines the beast extended its claws and dove toward Emira. This is it for me, she thought. All of the sudden a loud shot was sounded in the air causing the beast to shudder violently and seek out its wound. Emira turned in confusion to Alan.
“Uh, don’t look at me. I didn’t shoot that thing.”
Emira felt a stiff iron hand fall on her shoulder, “I shot the nuisance!” She turned to face Klanferos.
With a sigh of reprieve she asked, “why isn’t that monster dead yet?”
“That is no monster, that is a Quatopoian Dragon.”
“Why didn’t you kill it,” she asked, frustrated.
“Because that course of action was unnecessary, the dragon was only protecting his territory, doing his duty. We all have a duty, would you not protect the world you love from those who are likely to oppose it? It was merely a misunderstanding made by the dragon. That shot was a warning proving to him that we are more formidable than he and it would be foolish of him to attack. Now get some rest my friends, we have a long day ahead of us.”
“Thank you, Klanferos, good night,” smiled Emira as she closed her beautiful gleaming violet eyes.

At 6:00am, the marines were awakened by Klanferos and continued their hike to the mountain’s peak. The cold misty morning dew of the mountain numbed the marines, though Klanferos was immune to the temperature, having been trained to survive in any temperature even with no clothing on.  Considering Klanferos wearing his leather black jumpsuit and his armor, he seemed to feel nothing, compared to the other two who were freezing. By noon they had scaled to the mountain’s peak, from there they could look for odd formations on the plateau. As expected nothing was to be seen.
Klanferos sighed in frustration, “not a cave or ground hole to be seen, argh. It seemed like it was under our very nose and…”
“Look,” came a shout, “humans at the peak! Kill them! They must not get the plans before we do!” Up the mountain stormed a wraith patrol captain, accompanied by ten other wraith warriors. Before Klanferos knew it, he was surrounded by four wraith troopers, clad in dark armor. The eleven enemies unsheathed their shock swords; plasma fueled cryto-steel blades. Klanferos and the two marines pulled out two pistols each, and prepared to counter the enemy’s first attack.

“It is inevitable, humans! Surrender while that option remains possible,” demanded the wraith patrol captain. Klanferos found himself near a steep cliff, behind him the patrol captain and a wraith trooper stood ready to strike.
“We are only explorers, we are not here for the plans, we are on a science expedition!”
“You Lie,” exclaimed the wraith captain, “there is no other reason why you would be up here! Kill them!” The four adversaries began to spin their shock swords in a fan formation, Klanferos had to be creative, having no sword of his own with which to counter attack. Klanferos suddenly stood straight and dropped his pistols.
“Stop! You win!” The wraith troopers stopped spinning their swords, and one came to apprehend Dolgere. Suddenly Klanferos kicked the approaching wraith trooper in the ankle, thereby breaking it. Snatching the crippled trooper’s sword, he jammed it in the wraith trooper’s helmet, pulled it back out and engaged battle with the remaining adversaries, while blood leaked out of the dieing trooper’s helmet. Klanferos was very skilled in swordplay; he cut down two enemies while kicking the Wraith Captain over the cliff side to his doom. Emira, surrounded by three attackers, maneuvered around them, made a back flip on to the upper part of the cliff, stuck a grenade under a boulder and jumped out of sight. The confused Wraith Troopers staggered toward the boulder until one saw the trick.
“Grenade!” But it was too late; the explosion shattered the boulder, and caused a rock avalanche which pinned the three troopers to the ground, resulting with snapping spines.

Meanwhile, Alan was confronted by two Wraith Troopers. He fired his plasma pistol at one of them, and the result was as depressing as Alan’s enthusiasm. The Trooper used his saber to absorb the plasma bullet, and Alan screamed and ran. As the two troopers advanced toward Alan, they raised their sabers for a killing blow. At this point, however, the avalanche that Emira used to defeat her foes reached Alan’s position and stumbled upon Alan and the two Wraith Troopers. When Emira realized what had happened she called out, “Alan!”
When she turned there approached a brute Wraith Trooper - with his plasma fueled flail, he seemed a formidable opponent. As he swung the flail, intending on taking Emira’s head off with one stroke, Emira backed away from the blow, but fate was against her for the cliff side lay behind her. With the cliff behind Emira it hindered her agile abilities, so that there was no escape.
“Out of Ideas, aren’t we now, little one? Hehe!”
“Oh go away,” snapped Emira in an agitated manner.
“Do you not realize doom when you see it? I am going to slam your face in.”
“Fine! Gosh! Just do it and shut up.”
The brute resumed his attack, his spinning spiked flail raised and then - he stopped. Looking at him, Emira saw why: a plasma blade was penetrating through the brute’s throat, the blade twisting then suddenly pulled back through.  The newly made corpse fell to the ground and to reveal Klanferos holding the blade.

Meanwhile the Wraith patrol captain, defeated by Klanferos, fell over the cliff side. He landed on his neck with a loud snap, directly in front of General Delvix. Delvix made no emotion to what happened, leaning forward to inspect the body, with his last ounce of energy, the patrol captain pointed toward the mountain and mumbled, “there, go there…”
Lieutenant Elko approached the cloaked figure who witnessed the patrol captain’s demise, “what happened, your Excellency?”
Delvix barely moved as he replied, “this fool’s time had come; something is going on up there in the mountain.”
“Dragon attack I suppose?”
Delvix turned, the sky had darkened and a terrible storm had commenced, “No! Search the mountain, seek out the disturbance, bring it to me and proceed with the mountain’s destruction! We are not alone…”
As he finished the lightning had flashed and a tremendous roar of thunder shook the plateau. Everyone could sense something big was about to happen.
